Rowe FCCLA- Teddy Bear Drive
Rowe FCCLA students held a Teddy Bear Drive to help a local agency in the Rio Grande Valley - The Children's Advocacy Center. The drive was held for two weeks. Several teachers on campus helped as well, by having donation boxes in their classrooms. FCCLA students met on Saturday December 8th, 2018 to deliver the bears that were collected. The Children's Advocacy Center's main focus to promote awareness and provide resources for children and families affected by abuse and neglect. Their mission is to reduce the emotional trauma of child abuse from the victims, which promotes the prevention of child abuse throughout the community and promotes the effective prosecution of those who perpetrate crimes against children.
