Morton Ranch FCCLA- Breast Cancer Awareness Community Project

October is breast cancer awareness month. It’s important to inform the student body about how common breast cancer is for not only women but men too. Fashion design classes sewed pink ribbons in class. FCCLA members then pinned the pink ribbons with facts about breast cancer to hand out to staff and the student body at school. 1500 ribbons were then distributed to the entire school in order to inform about breast cancer statistics. FCCLA sponsored a tye-dye day where all students on campus could bring a white T-shirt and learn to tye dye a shirt to be worn on the campus-wide pink out Friday. Students enjoyed seeing everyone in their pink clothing.
