Friona FCCLA- Brings Awareness to Distracted Driving

Friona FCCLA members presented a traffic safety awareness day Thursday, Nov. 8. A wrecked car that had been in a distracted driving accident was on display in the student parking lot. The Friona High School student body and staff were educated every period of an unbelievable statistic. One of these statistics, "8 people die every day from distracted driving" was played out by the FCCLA members. By the end of the school day, the spirit of death had visited 8 students. Posters were hung in the hallways that encouraged safe driving. The mission of the Friona FCCLA was to present realistic visuals to make others think twice before driving with distractions.
