Devine Festival Booth- November 2017

Farm to Classroom with the Kohlleppels' at Devine Festival. The chapter goal for their project was to educate community members and students about farming and its importance. Kids that came by had the opportunity to create a living necklace with a cotton ball, water and a bean that will sprout into a plant. They also had a chance to feel and learn about the different stages of cotton, corn, wheat, and milo. There was also a matching game for students to match different items to where they come from- either, corn, cotton or wheat. They were able to make 150 living necklaces with community members and were able to inform many more about seeds, plants, and farming in general.
