Shoemaker FCCLA Visits Children's Hospital
For Halloween

Shoemaker HS FCCLA visited the Children’s Hospital at Scott & White on Halloween to do a little reverse Trick-or-Treating and present the 47 patients with 26-page fall activity/coloring book that they created especially to send the children “NO tricks and ALL treats” by wishing them a “Happy Fall Y’all”.  Shoemaker FCCLA also collected over 100 coloring book and crayon sets from the members that were donated to the Child Life department for future patients.   Additionally, members were granted a fantastic opportunity to tour the hospital and meet with Scott & White Children’s Hospital Development office and the Child Life Specialists to discuss careers related to helping children and future holiday service learning opportunities and partnerships.  It was a great experience for all that attended and participated.  Shoemaker FCCLA is so grateful to have such an amazing service learning partnership with The Children’s Hospital at Scott and White and Children’s Miracle Network!
