Scholarship Information

Texas Association, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America offer several scholarships to members in support of their goal to obtain a college education.  Most scholarships available through FCCLA are offered to students planning to major in family and consumer sciences.  Scholarship applicants applying for scholarships through Texas FCCLA must meet both the standard requirements set for all FCCLA scholarships as well as the requirements specific to the scholarship in which the member applies.  The standard requirements can be found listed below and on each scholarship information page. (Requirements for university students are found on the scholarship at the bottom of this page.)

FCCLA Standard Requirements:

  • All applications must be typed

  • High school and/or college transcript with class ranking must be provided

  • A copy of SAT and/or ACT test scores must be provided

  • Three letters of recommendation are required

  • Completed application form must be emailed to scholarships@texasfccla.org.

  • Mail the application form and all supporting documents identified on the application form to FCCLA, postmarked by March 1, 2009.

  • Application forms and supporting documents submitted by fax, must be received in the FCCLA office by March 1 at 5 p.m.

The scholarships offered through FCCLA this year for high school graduates are:

C.J. Davidson Scholarship - FCCLA awards 10 scholarships to outstanding members in Texas. 

The scholarship is for $2,000 per semester and will be continued for eight semesters if the recipient continues

 to be qualified under the rules regulated by the scholarship.  (must major in FCS and receive a teaching

certificate for FCS)  Application Form  Recommendation Form

 

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship - The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

will provide ten, four-year $10,000 college scholarships to be awarded to outstanding members of the

Texas Association, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. 

(open to any member - no restrictions)

 

Regional Scholarship - Ten scholarships will be awarded annually.  Attach a theme of approximately

 500 words on the topic of how your involvement in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and

Family and Consumer Sciences has prepared you for your Future.  (must major in FCS)

 

Blue Bell Special Regional Scholarship - $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to outstanding members of the

Texas Association, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America.  Blue Bell Application Form

 

 

Texas Farm Bureau Scholarship - Must have been a regional or state FCCLA officer in addition to

the scholarship eligibility requirements.  (Attach two copies of an autobiography.)  This is a $1,000 scholarship.

National Community Service Scholarships - A list of websites for companies and organizations who

The scholarships offered through FCCLA this year for current college/university students are:

 

CJ Davidson College Scholarship - FCCLA is awarding a scholarship to a current university student

 majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences Education in a Texas college or university.  The scholarship is

$2,000 per semester and will be continued until graduation if the recipient continues to be qualified under the
