SCHOLARSHIP FOR
TEXAS ASSOCIATION, FAMILY CAREER AND COMMUNITY
LEADERS OF AMERICA
Must have been a regional or state FCCLA officer in addition to the scholarship eligibility requirements. (Attach two copies of an autobiography.) This is a $1,000 scholarship.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications should be completed in full and returned to the Association, which will carry out the application process, evaluation procedure and determination of recipients of the scholarships awarded.
Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2008 and mailed to:

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY
To
be eligible a student must:

Be a resident of the state
of Texas
·
Be a
2007 graduate of a Texas high school
·
Have
an overall high school grade average of 85
· Be a Texas regional or state officer
· Have
been an active member of an affiliated chapter of Family, Career and Community
Leaders of America for at least one year
· Meet
entrance requirements of Texas college or university which offers a degree
in
family and consumer sciences
· Enroll in a Texas accredited college with a family and consumer sciences department in the fall of 2007
·
MAJOR
IN ANY AREA OF FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES AND RECEIVE A
FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES
TEACHING CERTIFICATE.
· Submit one typed copy of the application form, transcript of grades for last marking period, and three letters of recommendation
· Attach two copies of an autobiography
