LEADERS OF AMERICA
The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is awarding five $1000 scholarships annually to outstanding members in Texas. Attach a theme of approximately 500 words on the topic of how your involvement in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America family and consumer sciences has prepared you for your future.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications should be completed in full and returned to the Association, which will carry out the application process, evaluation procedure and determination of recipients of the five scholarships awarded.
Applications must be postmarked by March 1, 2008 and mailed to:

APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY
To
be eligible a student must:
· Be a resident of the state
of Texas
· Be a
2007 graduate of a Texas high school
· Have been an active member of an affiliated chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
· Meet entrance requirements of Texas college or university which offers a degree in
family and consumer sciences
· Enroll in a Texas accredited college with a family and consumer sciences department in the fall of 2007
· MAJOR IN ANY AREA OF FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES
· Submit one typed copy of the application form, one transcript and three letters of
recommendation
· Include a theme of approximately 500 words on the topic of how your involvement in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America or family sciences has prepared you for your future.
