Colorado FCCLA's Certified Peer Educators
Colorado High School FCCLA members, Tucker French and Alyssa Leverton, attended the Texas FCCLA Peer Education training held September 25-26, 2011 in Dallas. This conference focused on learning the role of a peer eductor and examined issues facing youth: school violence, financial literacy, teen safe driving, childhood obesity and environmental issues. This powerful program certified attendees as peer aducators and provided them with resources and materials to be successful when conducting their training. Both Colorado students will have the opportunity to provide training on these areas in their school to their peers.
